The idea of building Kata Charmes Villas comes initially from the philosophy of our Architect Rubelli e Gussago
I believe in “style” if it is understood as responsibility, not as a figure, as recognition in the formal territory. Each discipline has its political limit: for architecture the limit is the extent to which it intends, with its means, towards a specific end and in so far as it expresses itself … architecture is a service: but one of quality… Architecture is the tool of social relations, but it remains and makes history for everyone.
STAR Architetti Associati Rubelli and Gussago was founded in 1993 following the merger of the two individual professional firms of the current founding partners. After a series of professional experiences that the architects have had individually in architectural firms in the lower Lake Garda area and after a series of projects developed in the Milanese hinterland, the two companies come together to create the new design group that has been carrying out for years projects above all in the lower Lake Garda area and in the territory of the province of Brescia, but also in different realities such as Madonna di Campiglio (TN), Folgaria (TN) Elba Island (LI).
The ongoing experiences outside the national territory are especially significant and of particular growth:
- PRAGUE – Europe – Renovation of a residential building in a monumental building;
- ZANZIBAR – Africa – New 5-star tourist resort project;
- PHUKET –Asia – Residential village project and luxury villas in a tourist area.
Today, in addition to the founding members, the studio – which has evolved over the years – is made up of a series of collaborators who, thanks to their skills and experience, allow them to range in various sectors that concern architecture, urban planning, the territory, landscape, building, security, geology, engineering, plant engineering, topography, land registry, public administration.
Both partners are members of various “landscape commissions” which evaluate projects carried out in areas with a high environmental landscape value.
For several years they have been appointed by municipal administrations to cover the role of Head of the Technical Office for the Construction-Urban Planning, Environment and Ecology and Public Works sectors.
Kata Charmes took advantage of its unique geographical environment to successfully capture the insights of the two architects and inspired its design concept of luxury as a choice.
